The investment objective of BNO is for the daily changes in percentage terms of its per share net asset value ("NAV") to reflect the daily changes in percentage terms of the spot price of Brent crude oil, as measured by the daily changes in the price of a specified short-term futures contract on Brent crude oil called the "Benchmark Futures Contract", plus interest earned on BNO's collateral holdings, less BNO's expenses. The Benchmark Futures Contract is the futures contract on Brent crude oil as traded on the ICE Futures Europe Exchange (the "ICE Futures") that is the near month contract to expire, except when the near month contract is within two weeks of expiration, in which case it will be measured by the futures contract that is the next month contract to expire.
